Abstract

This study aims to study the planting of values for improving character education through learning Cultural Arts in Class XI Students of 7 Denpasar Senior High School in Academic Year 2018/2019. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method, this research is located in Denpasar 7 Public High School Jalan Cambodia Number 9 Denpasar. Primary data sources in this study were cultural arts teachers in Denpasar 7 High School and students. The class that became the object of observation was class XI Mia 8 and XI Mia 10 for three meetings Data collection methods namely: Observation, Interview, and Document Study. Planting the values of improving character education through cultural learning at 7 Denpasar Senior High School is done with added value, approach to clarification of values, and learning through material development learning both theory and practice in the form of appreciation, creation, and conversation activities. The material presented was developed by looking for contextual relationships or meanings and their benefits in everyday life.
