Abstract

The study, titled power antagonism of Trichoderma sp. locally against fungal pathogens that cause disease plant pests (Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc.) on tomato plants (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.) aims to determine the power generated by the antagonism of local isolates of Trichoderma sp. against plant pests disease-causing pathogens (Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc.) on tomato plants (Lycopersicum esculementum Mill.). Biological control of fungal pathogens in plants can be done by utilizing the antagonistic fungus as a biological control agent. In vitro testing of nine isolates of Trichoderma sp. obtained from the District/Municipality in Bali dujikan power antagonism against plant pests disease causing pathogens (S. rolfsii) that the nine isolates of Trichoderma sp. indicates a positive antagonist. Isolates of Trichoderma sp. obtained in Badung has the highest power is 100% antagonism against disease-causing fungus S. rolfsii plant pests (damping off) on tomato plants, whereas Trichoderma sp. derived from Karangasem regency has a low antagonism is 63.15%. Antagonism mechanism of Trichoderma sp. against pathogenic fungal species, namely competition and mikoparasit.
